than four years. About 38 countries were involved in that war. More than 74 million people fought on its fields, 10 million were killed, and 20 million were crippled. The war led to the downfall of the most powerful European states and the folding of the new geopolitical situation in the world.

German Soldiers’ Cemetery was blessed on 31 August 1963. Its mausoleum contains the remains of over 2,500 German soldiers who had perished on the battlefield during the First World War. The area is bounded by an almost metre-high fence built of natural stone.
